Refugio Amazonas Lodge Manager
Hello! I’m Brenda Loaiza, Lodge Manager at Refugio Amazonas. I have worked in the tourism industry for the past five years, a journey that began in different areas of hospitality and guest services. Every experience helped me develop new skills and confirmed that my greatest passion is creating meaningful experiences for those who visit the Amazon rainforest.
I was born in Quillabamba, known as the "City of Eternal Summer," in the Cusco region of Peru. Growing up surrounded by beautiful landscapes and a rich cultural heritage inspired my love for hospitality, tourism, and nature. Those values continue to guide me every day as I welcome each guest with warmth and strive to make them feel at home from the moment they arrive.
What I enjoy most about working in Tambopata is seeing visitors build a genuine connection with the Amazon rainforest and leave with memories that will stay with them for a lifetime. I strongly believe that responsible tourism is a powerful way to protect this extraordinary ecosystem while creating positive opportunities for local communities.
The Amazon rainforest inspires me because of its incredible biodiversity and because it always has something new to teach us. Every day is an opportunity to learn, grow, and share the importance of conserving one of the world's most remarkable natural places.
In my free time, I enjoy playing sports, traveling, reading, and dancing. I also love discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people, as every experience enriches both my personal life and my professional journey.
